Remember the Culture Wars? They made the 1990s a grand time to be in the opinion business, and with the return of the Democrats to the White House and the rancor over California’s proposition 8, one might have expected to see the battle rejoined. Oddly, however, there has been a steadily growing feeling among the blogocracy that Barack Obama is the sole person with the power to take the nation above the fray.
